Elena Silcock
I started working in restaurant kitchens in London. After a couple of years, I moved into a food team at BBC Good Food for 2 years, working as a recipe writer and food stylist. I returned to kitchens in the form of an 18 month stint at a sourdough bakery and eatery in Copenhagen. Ready to get back into content creation, I moved back to London in 2018 and and have since worked as a freelance writer, stylist and most recently an art director.
Driven by a love a food, teamed with an appetite for creating and producing photographic and written content for both editorial and commercial brands, I’ve ended up working predominantly on content creation teams over the last few years. I’ve worked with inspirational editorial teams and brands, as well as both budding start ups and well established commercial brands and companies.
I set up You Bring the Wine after spending far too much time making sure the name was right, and have been working on growing the brand over the last year. It’s a newsletter and recipe platform, branching into BYOB events and supper clubs, for both private clients and brand partners.
